Suzanne Shanklin

Suzanne works holistically and collaboratively with her clients drawing from her background in somatics, creative arts, and mindfulness. She believes strongly in the healing power of a kind compassionate relationship. Her intention is to help her clients improve their relationship to themselves and their own inner experience.
Suzanne provides therapy for adults and couples who are experiencing relationship conflict, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, attachment trauma and adjustment disorders. She worked for many years as an artist and yoga therapist, before becoming a therapist. Suzanne received her BA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Metropolitan State University. For many years she worked as a Yoga teacher and Yoga therapist before completing her MA from JFK University in San Jose California in Holistic Counseling.
She is passionate about nature and the important part it plays in helping us to feel whole and supported. She often invites clients to cultivate mindfulness and foster their own connections to the natural world.
Suzanne is working under the licensed supervision of Kate West, MSW, LICSW while pursuing clinical licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
