He/Him/His

NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

Norris provides individual therapy to a diverse range of clients. His specialties include working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, military personnel, college students, and immigrants - all communities in which he identifies with himself. His approach is rooted in promoting justice, equity, and empowerment, ensuring compassionate and authentic care.

Norris creates a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore yourself and confront life's challenges, whether it's coming from work, school, or relationships. He fosters a collaborative relationship, encouraging you to actively participate in your healing. While he brings expertise such as valuable tools and coping skills to the table, he also recognizes that you are the expert in your own life, and together, you can work towards meaningful change.

He understands that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach, therefore he utilizes a variety of interventions and skills from a "toolkit" that he's developed throughout his clinical training and experiences. His work is mostly aligned with the influences of Adlerian, existential, narrative, and feminist theories, offering a holistic and culturally-sensitive perspective. Additionally, he understands how social identities shape experiences and interactions, empowering you on your journey to mental health and personal growth. He helps you construct an empowering life narrative and externalize feelings of inferiority and oppression.

With Norris, you will challenge oppressive narratives, break free from negative messages, explore your strengths, delve into self-discovery, build resilience, and reclaim your power and self-worth through a supportive therapeutic relationship.

Norris holds a Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health from the University of Minnesota, equipping him to treat clients with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. He is fully licensed as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). He is working under the licensed supervision of Lorie Crandall, MA, LMFT, while pursuing a second licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
