As a seasoned professional with decades of experience, Nancy has guided countless people out of confusion and despair, and back into a place of strength and empowerment.
Her ultimate goal is to increase your understanding of yourself. She does this by teaching you to notice information that is currently being missed - strengths, as well as problematic responses. In particular, emphasis is placed on the “Now what?” phase of therapy which shifts the focus from an intellectual understanding to the application of the material. In other words, how to actually achieve the desired change.
Nancy’s style is calm and gentle; safe and welcoming; and yet she will nudge you if necessary. At the end of the first session her hope is that you leave feeling heard and understood - with the belief that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
