Keyur Desai

Keyur is a doctoral level bilingual psychologist with over fifteen years of experience in the areas such as psychological evaluations, government social services, health psychology, and trauma-informed care.. His therapy focuses from an attachment and relational stand point where he thinks about the system to promote insight. His therapy focuses on but not limited to trauma and individuals in recovery. Prior to joining Lyn Lake Wellness, Keyur served as a Behavioral Health Consultant for a large community medical clinic in Seattle, Washington to adults and families with complex medical and psychological disorders and completed a two year postdoctoral fellowship in Addiction Medicine in the Twin Cities Area. In addition, he has also delivered integrated and holistic clinical services to war and torture victims, refugees, and the immigrant population. In addition to his professional experiences, Keyur has worked with diverse populations providing therapy, training, and evaluations in a variety of settings that includes: community mental health, county social service offices, primary care clinics, and private practice. He is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Minnesota and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota teaching classes such as Psychological Assessment and Psychopathology. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from California Lutheran University and his Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and National Register for Health Psychologists.


Keyur has always appreciated the ways different cultures come together and create a community, and has spent his career seeking out apprenticeships which can prepare him to work with different cultures and add new perspectives to his skill sets. He has specifically looked for professional and community education opportunities that would expose him to new populations and help him develop his professional multicultural identity, and he wants to continue on that path in the future. He is a personable, motivated, creative, and enthusiastic clinician whose main aim is to help clients live their maximum potential.
