Daniel Alberto Perez

He/Him

Daniel is a bilingual and bicultural therapist committed to collectivist and decolonized healing. Daniel believes all of us are worthy because we exist. Yet, systems of oppression like capitalism, cis-hetero-patriarchy, and white supremacy (and many others) tell us otherwise. Daniel works with clients looking to be their most authentic selves by challenging the systems of oppression around them and within them that are getting in the way of living their life fully. Daniel knows it is a privilege to be a part of his clients' healing while holding space, challenging them to grow, and also witnessing their journey with a compassionate lens.

Daniel is trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) and has extensive experience working with people who have experienced trauma. Additionally, throughout his 10+ years in the mental health field, Daniel has worked with people experiencing racial and intergenerational trauma, immigration-related trauma, identity questioning, and much more.

Daniel’s therapeutic approach is guided by his clinical knowledge of Western psychology, as well as his lived experience with surviving multiple traumas and oppressive systems, and his ongoing efforts to decolonize the mind, body, and spirit, and doing so through a collectivist approach. Overall, his therapeutic approach is a reflection of who he is as a person and professional committed to the liberation of all people by dismantling systems of oppression within and outside of us.
