Andrea Fjeldberg
She/Her/Hers
NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
Andrea joins LynLake with over 7 years of experience supporting adolescents and adults as a mental health practitioner, peer support specialist, and case manager. She believes that the relationship between a therapist and client is the most important part of the healing process. Andrea’s strength is in providing a warm and supportive space. She welcomes individuals 18+ and she particularly enjoys supporting those navigating the unique life transitions that accompany ages 18-25.
As a member of the queer community, Andrea knows how hard it can be to find providers who are educated and affirming. As a white therapist Andrea recognizes her privilege and biases within this world. She will support all individuals based on their own cultural identities and will continue to engage in lifelong multicultural curiosity, awareness, and education.
Andrea utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to therapy that is nonjudgmental, person-centered, trauma-informed, and social and racial justice oriented. She strongly believes that finding self-worth is a key piece in building yourself and a life you can enjoy.
Andrea is pursuing a Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and is under the supervision of Tom Hegblom (Ph.D., LPCC, LADC, NCC) while completing her internship.
