Jimmy provides individual therapy for adults ages 18+ and believes in the collaborative nature of therapy. Jimmy is a counseling intern with experience working with ARMHS services, mood disorders, relationship issues, stress, and life transitions. He creates a safe environment and works to assist clients in understanding how their values influence their thoughts and emotions.
Jimmy empowers clients by acknowledging their strengths, unique life experiences, and perspectives. He uses person-centered approaches that incorporate multiple modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment, Motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. Jimmy uses empathy, humor, and nonjudgmental curiosity to help clients create the therapy experience that will be most beneficial for them.
When not studying or working, Jimmy can be found playing video games with friends, drawing, or playing the saxophone. Jimmy is a clinical intern currently studying counseling psychology at Saint Mary’s University. He is working under the supervision of Keyur Desai, PsyD, LP while he continues his education and works towards licensure.
