Sydney Craig attended North Dakota State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She then went on to attend the University of St. Thomas and received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During graduate school, she became certified as a yoga instructor to incorporate a mind-body approach into her clinical practice. She is a pre-licensed therapist in the process of obtaining her licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Sydney provides therapy to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative and person-centered. She operates from a systemic approach while utilizing interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Practices, and Emotion-Focused Therapy.
Sydney’s areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relational stressors. She views change and personal growth as an ever-evolving process and believes that when we begin to understand ourselves and our emotional experiences, meaningful change can emerge. She believes the context of your life is important, and that you are the expert on what is best for you. She is dedicated to helping individuals overcome challenges to live a more fulfilling life and believes in the power of creating a safe and supportive environment where you can meet your goals. Sydney greatly values connecting with each of her clients, and strives to elicit strength, compassion, and healing in your work together.
Sydney is working under the licensed supervision of Katie Snell, MA, LMFT while she pursues clinical licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
