Suzanne Shanklin

Suzanne works with adult clients navigating through life transitions, Identity/self-exploration, shame, relationships, life stressors, trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression. She believes that therapy is a relational process and sees our well-being as deeply connected to the systems and communities we live in. She integrates nature-based practices and Art Therapy in sessions. She hopes to utilize our innate connections to creativity and the living planet to support holistic change.
Suzanne loves working with, LGBTQIA+ folks, neurodivergent folks, and creative types. Her goal is to create a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, client-led space where you can explore your relationships and your authentic self.
She works with folks who moved to Minnesota from other countries and states who are struggling to integrate into the local community.
Therapeutic Interventions: Trauma-informed, Narrative, DBT, Mindfulness, IFS, Psychodynamic, Person-centered, Family Systems (IFS), and Art therapy.
Suzanne is working under the licensed supervision of Erica Nesvig, MA, LPCC while pursuing clinical licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
