Steve Platt
He/Him/His
When someone experiencing distress related to trauma feels respect, this can facilitate regulation. When regulated in an environment of respect people connect with increasing authenticity and vulnerability, which promotes healing and resiliency.
With this in mind Steve provides individual psychotherapy counseling to clients challenged by symptoms related to trauma. He utilizes Person Centered, Mindfulness, 12 Step Facilitation, Existential, EMDR, and AEDP therapies most frequently. If appropriate he likes to collaborate with other care providers to engage a more holistic approach.
Steve received a Master's Degree from the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies in 2015. He is an EMDR Institute and an AEDP Institute trained provider. He continually seeks further knowledge, and competency attending training, workshops, and conferences primarily focused on trauma and addiction from a mind, body, and spiritual approach to therapies.
