She/Her/Hers

Now Accepting New Clients

Together, Sophia and her clients can explore how to know oneself, create a life aligned with one’s values, and develop meaningful relationships with oneself and others. Sophia sees therapy as a collaboration and a shared journey. It is an active experience where they build off of both areas of expertise, the client on themselves and their life, and Sophia on what she observes as a witness to the client’s truth and patterns. They then develop ways for clients to honor that insight in their lives.

Sophia comes to the therapy room as a cis, white, queer therapist who acknowledges both her own and her clients’ intersecting identities. She believes in anti-racism and challenging oppression. Therapy models she integrates based on the uniqueness of her clients include CBT, DBT, CPT, ACT, and somatic/mindfulness-based interventions. She focuses on supporting people through grief, strengthening relationships, embracing neurodivergence, understanding perfectionism, improving their relationship with their body, addressing complex relational and generational trauma, supporting helping professionals, deconstructing religious trauma, and exploring anxiety and depression.

Choosing a therapist and meeting with them is the first risk and step a client takes in their therapy journey. Sophia is available to work with adults, minors age 10+, couples, and families. If any of the following resonate, Sophia may be a fit:

  • Feeling alone even when busy and around others
  • Doing things themselves because no one else cares as they do
  • Anxiety surrounding relationships
  • Prioritizing the “right thing to do”
  • Distress around current or past religious beliefs
  • Not knowing how to connect with a parent or child
  • Not being attuned to the body and its needs
  • Feeling unsure about what they want or who they are
  • Having a hard time knowing what they’re feeling
  • Being the person others go to for support

Sophia is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), licensed through the Minnesota Board of Social Work. She is also certified to provide supervision to other therapists who are seeking their LICSW license.
