“We’re all just walking each other home.” – Ram Dass
Sam’s goal is for you to feel less alone with what you are going through. Using somatic and mindfulness-based methods, he will guide you to develop self-compassion and other tools to help you to heal yourself and cope with difficult emotions, trauma, oppression, and daily life in a chaotic world. Sam will work with you to co-create a safe, client-centered space in which strengths and struggles can arise and be worked with.
Therapy with Sam feels intimate, connected, and safe; at times, very deep and, at times, pretty fun. Tears and belly laughs are equally likely during a session: both are inherently healing.
Sam believes everything we need to heal is already within us … we sometimes just need help accessing it. Healers and shamans have been helping their communities deal with pain and trauma — and fulfilling their true potential — for centuries. Sam sees counselors as modern incarnations of that lineage, and considers this work to be his sacred calling.
