Welcome. The desire to feel seen, heard, and understood is a universal and essential part of human wellness. Rebecca understands that coming to therapy can be difficult, and she strives to provide a warm, compassionate, and empathetic space for your work together. She is relational in her approach; this means she believes that how well she listens and connects with you matters. Rebecca seeks to help her clients develop self-awareness, confidence, wellbeing and deeper intimacy and authenticity in relationships.
Rebecca uses an integrative, whole-person approach, incorporating mind, body & spirit. Rebecca adjusts her clinical work based on the individual needs of each client. She utilizes a mix of relationship-based therapy strategies and theoretical frameworks including psychodynamic, strengths-based, humanistic and relational perspectives, attachment theory, developmental repair, somatic experiencing, and mindfulness. Rebecca will work with you to co-create an individualized plan designed to fit your specific goals and desires.
Rebecca has had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds in a variety of settings as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has inpatient hospital experience, as well as eleven years as a Minneapolis Public Schools Social Worker. Rebecca has a special interest in but is not limited to adolescent and young adult development, parent/child relationships, couples work, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, anger management, emotional dysregulation, loneliness, problems with work/school, family or social group, and women’s issues. Rebecca passionately believes in the inherent dignity and worth of every human being; she is sex-positive and LGBTQIA+ allied.
