Rachel Bentley
She/Her/Hers
Rachel works with adults (18+) in individual therapy. She has a particular interest working with themes of emotional resilience and coping after adverse/traumatic events. Rachel has received basic training in EMDR and is currently in a Somatic Experiencing (SE) training program. She came into the field of psychotherapy from a practice of yoga and an interest in other energy healing modalities.
Rachel is originally from Minnesota, but received her graduate degree and initial training as a counselor in Washington State. Rachel graduated from Bastyr University in WA, whose counseling program focused on a mindfulness-based approach to psychotherapy. Before starting at LLPW, Rachel worked in community mental health settings, with a focus on crisis stabilization and support.
Rachel is drawn to themes of emotional resilience and recovery, believing there is always a path for healing even in the most difficult times. She also enjoys working with individuals who identify as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) or who experience emotional sensitivities. Rachel has received basic training in EMDR and is currently in a Somatic Experiencing (SE) training program. She uses these modalities to allow for a gentle, yet effective therapeutic experience. Rachel very much looks forward to working with you.
