Madison Massoth earned her Master’s in Social Work at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis and her Bachelors of Social Work at Indiana University. She is a pre-licensed therapist in the process of obtaining her licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Madison has experience working in many different settings including schools, community mental health centers, and outpatient mental health.
Madison loves working with adolescents (13+) and adults. Madison values the importance of empathy, connection, and understanding within the therapeutic relationship. She utilizes a relational and strengths-based approach. Madison integrates techniques from evidence-based practices including Walk and Talk Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play and Art-Based Approaches, Group Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Practices, and Motivational Interviewing. She works to help clients develop skills to improve their ability to cope with and manage ongoing life stressors. Madison is an experienced clinician, LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, who has experience working with trauma, anger, sexuality, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, effective communication, relationships, and attachment-based issues.
Madison is passionate about helping people overcome feelings of shame and anxiety to work towards improved self image, interpersonal relationships, and overall mental health. Madison Massoth is working under the licensed supervision of Amy Mellum, MSW, LICSW, while pursuing clinical licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.
