Liza Meredith
She/Her/Hers
Liza is a counseling psychologist with 10+ years of clinical experience providing assessment and therapy services. She believes a strong relationship is crucial in making therapy worthwhile and strives to show understanding, curiosity, and acceptance in every session. Liza views therapy as both a science and an art. She attempts to approach clients using evidence-based models but also believes in the importance of being creative in sessions and tailoring therapy to each client's goals, preferences, and culture. While she takes her work seriously, she enjoys being down-to-earth, light-hearted, and solutions-focused with clients.
Liza received her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and is now an assistant teaching professor there. She wears different hats throughout the day, including teacher, researcher, and practicing psychologist. Liza has worked in various settings, including university counseling centers, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. She enjoys working with diverse populations and has specialties in academic and work concerns, neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ identities, and relationship concerns. Liza enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, running, and playing any sport or game. She also enjoys spending time with her Goldendoodle dog, who occasionally attends therapy sessions.
