Kyan is a relational therapist who believes that by fostering connection, integration, and inclusion, individuals are empowered to create change. Her therapy practice is grounded in reducing isolation, while understanding the impact of differences in power, equality, class, race, gender, and culture. Working in a variety of contexts over the past 18 years, she has learned to trust the process and encourages and supports clients to do the same.
Specialty areas of care include: transracial adoption, eating disorders, complex medical problems/trauma, grief and loss, infertility and infant loss, integrative behavioral health, and domestic violence.
Kyan is trained in clinical hypnosis, trauma-informed care, palliative care, Motivational Interviewing, Multi-Systemic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and CBT for Insomnia.
