Kay strives to build strong therapeutic relationships that are rooted trust and connection. She approaches therapy using a person-centered lens, believing that all people have a unique story to share and strengths that will help guide them toward personal growth. Kay loves to work collaboratively with clients and tailors her approach to meet each client’s individualized needs. Kay frequently draws from relational, humanistic, and empowerment theories.
As a licensed graduate social worker, Kay has working knowledge of the many systems that both offer support and create challenges in our lives. Kay has experience in various social service settings, including schools, community-based disability services, and court systems.
Kay is working under the licensed supervision of Amy Mellum, MSW, LICSW while she pursues clinical licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.
