Jamie is a Licensed Clinical Independent Social Worker with over 13 years of experience working with children and families in a variety of settings. Jamie’s experience includes working with those dealing with; addiction, abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, societal issues, system conflicts, racism, and other life stressors.
Jamie works from a holistic, strength-based approach to help guide individuals and families into a space of healing. Jamie utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches focusing on the uniqueness of each individual or family. Jamie is trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR.
Jamie has the fundamental belief that clients are the experts of their own lives and she is passionate about working with multicultural and marginalized populations. Jamie believes in fostering a partnership with clients to help them on their journey and her core values include; equity, trust, and community. Jamie holds this quote by Maya Angelou close to her heart "We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty".
