He/Him/His
Now Accepting New Clients
Evan is a psychotherapist with nearly a decade of experience supporting individuals navigating substance use and mental health challenges. He has a strong passion for and extensive background in facilitating groups focused on exploring trauma, gender identity, gender-specific concerns, substance use, and related issues. While his particular area of expertise lies in working with male-identifying clients who have experienced trauma, Evan also works with individuals of all identities facing grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and relationship issues. With a foundation in addiction counseling, he brings confidence and skill to helping clients cultivate a healthier relationship with mood-altering substances.
Evan’s therapeutic approach is grounded in culturally responsive care, attachment theory, and relationally focused interventions. He believes deeply in the importance of connection—both with oneself and the world around them—and strives to support clients in becoming their most authentic selves through trauma-informed care.
Evan resides in the Twin Cities and enjoys working in the community he has called home all his life. He enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with his two cats, Omelette and Olivia.
Evan is working under the licensed supervision of Emily Schmidt, MSW, LICSW, LADC, while he pursues clinical licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.
