Dara Okon

Dara works with the adult population with diverse backgrounds, and immigrant communities. Dara is a BiPOC individual who was born in Nigeria and grew up in Wisconsin before relocating to Minnesota. She is able to come to sessions with a warm positivity and a calming presence to promote individual healing and growth. Dara is a strong advocate for BiPOC social justices, and is a LGBTQ+ and domestic violence ally and an advocate for underprivileged voices.
She uses an integrative therapy model combining different modalities into each session. Some of the modalities include, client centered, emotion focused, and behavior therapies.
Dara is working under the licensed supervision of Paige Love MSW, LICSW while she completes her graduate internship program. Dara is pursuing a Master of Social Work degree and a Master of Holistic Health Studies degree from St. Catherine’s University.
