Dana Vikland
Dana believes deeply in the resilience of the human spirit, the power of authentic connection in therapy, and holistic care as vital to one’s well-being. She maintains curiosity and compassion in her client-facing work and a clinical focus is working with adults in areas of complex trauma, neurodiversity, women's needs, and substance use disorders.
As a therapist, Dana considers a large part of her role to be that of copilot; honoring your lived experience and respecting you as an expert of your own story, while bringing her clinical knowledge and skillset into the work of navigating your healing process. She considers another primary aspect of her role to be acting as an advocate for those whose voice escapes them or has been taken, and working to dismantle internal and societal systems of oppression. One of Dana’s favorite privileges in this work is witnessing the profound healing found through the holistic and evolutionary therapeutic relationship. Her goal is to partner with you in building upon your insight, empowerment, fulfillment, and practical agency for healing. She believes we are active participants in both the challenges we face and of the solutions we create; within accountability lies empowerment.
Outside of work, Dana loves to cook and bake, sing, attend MN United games, learn about history, true crime, the paranormal, and integrated health topics through audiobooks, podcasts, and documentaries; and explore new places with her dog Shadow (who may be available for in-office pets and cuddles, if that’s your thing).
