Ashley‘s therapeutic style is person-centered and conversational while utilizing an umbrella of approaches such as narrative, somatic, systemic, and cognitive behavioral. She has had the opportunity to work in various mental health settings ranging from working with individuals regarding substance use in an intensive outpatient program, individuals living with assistance in a group setting, and adolescent individuals within a residential treatment home. Her goal in the therapeutic relationship is to foster growth as an ally navigating life’s hurdles and help to develop a better understanding of self, relationships, and experiences. She hopes to accomplish this by consistently being an authentic, sincere, and safe presence in the lives of people she serves.
Ashley is credentialed as a pre-licensed clinical counselor under supervision and an alcohol and drug counselor. She graduated from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota for Master of Arts Counseling and Psychological Services and Graduate Certificate in Addiction Studies. She received her Bachelor's degree for Psychology and Spanish at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.

More personally, Ashley loves to travel and credits her passion for exploration during a semester abroad in Spain. Her future travel goals are Japan, Thailand, and Brazil. Outside of an airplane, she enjoys playing board games with her partner, walks with her four-legged-family Oso, cooking for friends, and gardening. When the Minnesota weather is not so accommodating, watching a sarcastic comedy or fantasy adventure is the usual go to activity.

Ashley is working under the licensed supervision of Corinne Nechalova, MA, LPCC while she pursues clinical licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor.
