Anita Sim

Dr. Anita Sim is a Licensed Psychologist and Board-Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist who helps people better understand their concerns about cognitive issues or decline. With over 15 years of experience and expertise, she specializes in providing psychological and neuropsychological assessments for young, middle-aged, and older adults, including medico-legal, forensic, and capacity evaluations.
 
Common referral questions include concerns about ADHD, learning disabilities, cognitive decline due to various medical issues (e.g., TBI, long-COVID, stroke, heart disease), dementia/Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s Disease or other movement disorders. Particular areas of expertise include working with individuals who have sustained a TBI/concussion, athletes, military Veterans, PTSD, and movement disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease. 
 
Dr. Sim is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and board-certified in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nebraska (2008) with an emphasis in neuropsychology, followed by specialized training in clinical neuropsychology through her internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a two-year postdoctoral residency at the University of Virginia School of Medicine (2008). 
 
Dr. Sim is also active in research and professional organizations. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology and serves as an oral examiner for candidates sitting for their board
examinations. She is also the current Chair of the Continuing Education Subcommittee for the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN) and previously served on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for AACN—the largest organization of board-certified clinical neuropsychologists.
