Amber is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and have experience working with children 6+, adolescents, and adults. She enjoys working with individuals and their families. She is compassionate and use humor to help you feel at ease while processing difficult thoughts and feelings. She believes we are the experts of our own stories. She tries to meet you where you are at in your story, while using mindful approaches drawing from several different theoretical backgrounds. Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and CBT are a few of the modalities she draws from. She also uses Sand Tray Therapy to help you process thoughts and feelings when using traditional methods seems too difficult for you and have found this process to be very rewarding and beneficial.
Amber has experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, school age issues, life adjustment issues, autism spectrum disorder, family systems or conflict along with many other presenting concerns. She has worked in mental health for over 10 years in a variety of settings including schools, intensive in-home, group homes, shelters, and outpatient therapy. She looks forward to helping you walk through this journey and feel heard.
