Akenzua Agbator is a board-certified and licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) trained to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health disorders. His approach prioritizes active listening, trust, respect, collaboration, and empathy. By truly listening to clients and their experiences, he offers personalized and effective care, especially for those facing complex and persistent mental health challenges. He is caring, friendly and always greets his clients with a warm smile.
With over a decade of psychiatric experience, Akenzua has cared for individuals with both simple and treatment-resistant mental conditions. He strives to create a safe and open environment where clients feel comfortable sharing any concern. Recognizing that some clients require more time than others, he dedicates ample time to each appointment to thoroughly address all questions and concerns without making clients feel rushed.
He treats a variety of mental health disorders including those commonly faced by service members and first responders like PTSD, anxiety, depression. He also works with individuals dealing with focus and concentration concerns, allowing them to regain order and organization in their lives.
With a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by Black and Brown communities, he is able to address the mental health needs arising from systemic discrimination, racial trauma, and cultural stigmas.

By staying informed about the latest advancements and innovative therapies in mental health care, he ensures that his clients receive the most effective and up-to-date treatments available.
