Are you working with teenagers who talk about self-injurious behavior? Or parents whose kids are talking about it? We will discuss myths and facts about SIB, what parents can do to help, and how we, as therapists, can work most effectively with clients who use SIB as a coping mechanism.

3. What parents can do to help.

4. How we can help kids and teens who self-injure.

5. Coping skills for SIB

We will discuss how to understand SIB, how to help parents help their kids with SIB, how to help kids find different coping skills, and finally, engage in a role-play for working with these clients.
