Authenticity In Practice: The Feasibility of Authenticity In Your Profession with Dr. Kerri Moseley-Hobbs & Mr. Shawn Turner, M.ed

Join us to further your professional development by exploring effective communication in therapy and navigating complex relational dynamics. Building on work with The Unfinished Business of Slavery case study, we’ll deepen understanding of bias, identity, and authenticity within professional ethics. Expect interactive scenarios, key takeaways, continued learning resources, and an assessment to support inclusive, actionable strategies in therapeutic settings.

Objectives:

  • Examine the feasibility of bringing your authentic self into a profession governed by formal rules of engagement.
  • Identify nonprofessional rules of engagement that may influence you or your clients.
  • Explore varying levels of authenticity and how they show up in therapeutic settings.
  • Recognize individual differences as variations—not deficits—that shape personal experiences.
  • Learn from client interactions and adapt therapeutic approaches in real time.

This training will be virtual and recorded. It is approved for 4 CEUs by the following boards: Social Work, Psychology, MFT, and Behavioral Health and Therapy.
