How do I set up the client portal?
First, make sure that we have your correct name, date of birth, and email address. Then follow these simple instructions AND take a tour of your new Client Portal!
-
How do I upload my ID and insurance card(s)?
In your portal, select “Upload Documents” from the purple navigation bar. It is quite simple to take pictures of the front and back of your cards on your phone and then log into the portal from your phone to upload the images. Quick and easy.
Here is a step-by-step tutorial to assist you.
And, remember, we do not receive a notification if you upload your documents. PLEASE ALSO MESSAGE US THROUGH YOUR PORTAL to let us know. Thank you so much!
If we do not have your correct insurance information on file, you will be responsible for the private pay rate of your service. See “What are your billed rates for sessions?” for more information on our rates.
-
How do I add my credit card for autocharge?
There are two options for clients at LynLake – either pay your invoice within 14 days OR add your payment method(s) to your client portal to be automatically charged after your service is billed/insurance processes.
Instructions for how to add your payment method(s) to your client portal are found HERE.
If you need any other options, please message Billing & Payments through your portal (see next question).
-
How do reach out when I have a question?
Of course, you can call our office if you would prefer (612-979-2276), but the best way to reach out with questions is through your client portal. When you log into your portal, select “Messages” from the top navigation bar – choose the “Subject” of your message (like “General Q&A,” “Ask Physician/Provider Directly,” or “Billing & Payments”) and you are all set to write and send your message.

What is Psychological Testing?
Psychological testing strives to provide insight into a person’s strengths and weaknesses. Psychological testing can provide a more in depth understanding of potential issues related to cognition and emotional reactivity. Psychological testing provides details needed for treatment recommendations.
Psychological testing and assessments are two separate yet related components encompassing a range of scientifically devised tests and procedures. Testing involves comparing one’s responses to standardized measures to a group usually based on the person’s age to see how well they are functioning compared to their age peers
These may include:
- Interviews:
Conversations with the client, caregivers, support system. These interviews allow for observations of social, language and communication skills with others.
- Behavioral Observations:
Assessment of the client’s behavior during the evaluation, including individually and with others.
- Informal Assessment Procedures:
Supplementary information sources like medical records, questionnaires, and personal documents.
Deposit, Insurance and Fees
Psychological testing includes: The initial consultation, all testing (typically scheduled over two days), one in-person feedback session, along with a comprehensive written report.
Deposit: Due to the large amount of time set aside for each client we require a $1500.00 deposit. Most Psychological testing service providers in Minnesota require a $2000-$4000 deposit. However, LynLake wishes to make these services more accessible to our community.
Insurance: Once the client uploads their insurance cards and notifies billing (select “Billing & Payment” as the Subject of your Client Portal Message) the testing claims will be submitted to the appropriate insurance. Once Insurance has processed the claim, any amount left as the client responsibility will be taken from the deposit and the remaining money will be refunded.
Psychological Testing Fees:
Service CPT CODE FEE PER UNIT* Evaluation Services (first 31-60 minutes) 96130 $265.00 Evaluation Services add-on (each additional 31-60 minutes) 96131 $265.00 Administration/Scoring (first 30 minutes) 96136 $153.00 Administration/Scoring add-on (each additional 16-30 minutes) 96137 $153.00 *All fees are subject to change.

Will insurance cover health and wellness coaching?
Wellness coaching or lifestyle medicine coaching is a relatively new field. Because of this, private-pay is the only payment accepted. Please connect with Brianna Harrington or Olivia Beisler via their websites or complete a request form.
We recommend you connect with our LynLake coaches, or look for providers with certifications or wellness-related coaching credentials from organizations like WellCoaches, or the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
-
Can I do one wellness coaching session?
Yes, you can. However, change takes time, especially if you’re working to make shifts in long-standing behaviors or want to introduce new ways of being. It’s heavily recommended that you sign up for a wellness coaching bundle or purchase a package to show your commitment to change and dedication to the process. After you’ve completed a 12-week program, monthly or quarterly drop-in sessions are typically available to serve as an accountability resource for you.

How much does it cost for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?
If you are deemed a good candidate for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), your therapist will explain the costs and typical course of treatment. The diagnostic assessment, preparation therapy sessions, and integration therapy sessions are all billed (to insurance if you carry it) using traditional psychotherapy codes (typically 90791 and 90837). A medical evaluation and the medicine session(s) are not billed to insurance and are the out-of-pocket (self-pay) responsibility of the client.
