Laura provides therapy for children and adolescents, ages 0–18, and also welcomes individuals across the lifespan. She integrates a person-in-environment framework, recognizing the ways that settings and relationships affect how we move through life and shape our sense of self. She is committed to making therapy approachable and accessible for all.
Laura is informed by evidence-based practices such as play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) while integrating humanistic principles. Laura also has a special interest in helping individuals of all ages navigate the challenges of screen overuse in today’s digital world.
Guided by trauma-informed care, Laura provides a steady and patient presence, honoring the time it takes for trust to develop. At the heart of her practice, Laura’s therapy is a place to nurture imagination, creativity and connection. Laura encourages clients to learn from mistakes, grow through challenges, and discover their own active role in life.
Outside of work, Laura is often seeking her next creative pursuit and values the simple conversations in passing that add new perspectives to her life. She is married with two children, and has a cat named Hugo.
Laura is working under the licensed supervision of Vivienne Lorjin, MA, MSW, LICSW, while pursuing clinical licensure as a LICSW.
