Grief Therapy: Yours, Theirs, Ours with Jade Erickson, MSW, LICSW
In this presentation, participants will receive an overview of grief therapy and the neuroscience of grief. We will define what grief is, what it means, and what it can look like. We will explore what complicates grief and ways to assess factors that could complicate or ease grief. An exploration of possible interventions will be a part of this presentation, though we will work to amplify connections that could help you look through the lens of your own modalities and how to use them as interventions to attend to grief. We will also talk about the grief we as clinicians experience when we lose a client, whether that is through death, termination, or anywhere in between. Considerations around confidentiality, connection, moral injury, and connection to burnout will also be discussed.
This training will be virtual and recorded. It is approved for 2 CEUs by the following boards: Social Work, Psychology, MFT, and Behavioral Health and Therapy.
