Nina Murray

She/Her/Hers

Nina’s practice embodies a non-directive approach that regards each child, adolescent, and adult as the expert in their own experience. She aims to help each client get in touch with their body and emotions so together, they can figure out what might be making things feel hard right now. She is passionate about helping her clients connect their lived experiences to the larger influences that may be hampering opportunities for growth.

Centering values of curiosity, collaboration, and exploration, Nina aims to foster a therapy space for her clients that is both challenging and rewarding. She incorporates trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, somatic- and attachment-focused approaches, as well as psychodynamic techniques throughout her practice to support client’s inner exploration. Her own identity as a queer Latina informs her approach in therapy through a liberatory practice lens.

By employing a variety of techniques including skills training, incorporating calming and coping skills, and identifying negative thought patterns, Nina hopes to best attend to the goals her clients identify at the beginning of treatment. Nina is particularly passionate about working with BIPOC queer and trans folks on their journeys of identity and self exploration as well as adolescents and young adults navigating big life transitions.

In her free time, Nina enjoys crocheting, going for walks, and playing with her cats, Earl and Pickle Jar.
