Emily Steece
She/Her/Hers
Not Accepting New Clients
Emily places a high value on relationships and strives to create an inclusive environment for all. She works with individuals that are 18 years or older, and couples both monogamous and non. She utilizes both trauma and attachment informed lenses when collaborating with clients. Emily practices from a variety of therapeutic frameworks. However, she finds that she uses CBT, Relational, and Emotionally-focused methods most. She utilizes Brainspotting with established clients in addition to talk therapy as well. Emily values diversity and always remains mindful of people’s unique cultures and backgrounds. Clients can expect her to be curious, direct, non-judgemental, and empathetic. They can also expect copious amounts of humor and the occasional use of a colorful word or two depending on the client’s comfort level.
She enjoys helping people address concerns around sex and intimacy, gender identity, life transitions, relational issues, mood disorders, and anxiety. She is LGBTQIA+ allied and kink affirming.
Presently, Emily is working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and is under the supervision of Laurie Mose, MA, LMFT.
