Not Accepting New Clients
Alex is a strength-based and compassionate psychotherapist who prioritizes building a strong relationship with her clients so that they feel welcomed, accepted, and heard. Alex offers a calm, caring, and supportive setting for clients to ease into therapy. She believes that by honoring yourself, your identity, and your unique experiences you will authentically craft a path towards resilience, self-acceptance, and understanding.
Alex has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She uses an integrative therapy model bringing multiple modalities and therapies into action, including Cognitive Behavioral, Client-Centered, Emotion Focused, Interpersonal Processing, Narrative, Motivational Interview, Play, and Mindfulness. Alex’s work is creative, playful, and thoughtful. Her client-centered and relational approach explores client’s experiences from various perspectives, including the unique ways clients interact with themselves, their environments, and their relationships. She is aware that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all practice and is passionate about inclusive, diverse, and accessible care. Alex’s goal is to partner with clients to find helpful ways to process, reflect, and heal that align with every client’s individual needs and style.
Alex is working under the licensed supervision of Kate West, MSW, LICSW while she pursues clinical licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor. In her free time, Alex enjoys being outdoors, busting out the roller-skates, spending time with friends, listening to music, crafting or doing projects, napping with her puppy and two kitties, trying new recipes and restaurants, and road-tripping.
