Now Accepting New Clients
At first glance, it can be challenging taking the steps to pursue therapy to improve your wellbeing, address trauma, or lower your stress level. Cameron’s goal as a therapist is to offer his clients a relationship that is safe, empowering, and collaborative. He strives to provide a caring, compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where individual strengths and differences are respected and honored.
In sessions, clients can explore and understand their struggles and obstacles to greater self-awareness and personal growth, while finding more effective ways to cope with the demands of their lives. At the same time, he can help them develop a greater understanding of the underlying causes and patterns that contribute to the stress in their lives. To accomplish this, Cameron utilizes a person-centered approach to develop goals specific to each individual that he works with.
Cameron has experience working with eating disorders or disordered eating patterns, emotional and behavioral difficulties, relationship or job stress, career changes, life transitions, grief & loss, and trauma. In his practice he utilizes both cognitive and systemic theoretical lenses, while incorporating tools from DBT, CBT, and internal family systems. He is also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy to treat various traumas utilizing CBT concepts.
In his practice, he pays attention to the intersections of mind and body, in addition to the environmental, systemic, and intergenerational factors that influence our lives and wellbeing. Finding a provider you connect with is central to any successful therapeutic work. Please feel free to reach out to schedule an appointment if you feel this may be a good fit.
