Susie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Catherine University. She has 9 years of nursing experience working in a variety of care setting including inpatient mental health. In May 2020, she graduated with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the College of Saint Scholastica. As a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, she is able to assess, diagnose, and provide medication management services to treat various mental health disorders. She has experience providing psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and their families in an outpatient setting.

Her professional interests include working with ADHD, neurodevelopmental disorders, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma. She is passionate about providing culturally competent care to underserved populations in her community. Susie is dedicated to taking a holistic, evidence-based, and patient and family-centered approach to the care she provides. She believes in empowering clients and their families by encouraging participation and providing education. It is important to her to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for all. She enjoys the opportunity to tailor treatment plans/goals to fit the unique needs of each client and their family. Susie believes in being able to infuse creativity, humor, and even some fun into psychiatry.

In her spare time, Susie enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends, and 2 dogs. She also likes running, yoga, golf, traveling, action movies, design shows, and good food.
