Melissa listens intentionally to help you identify patterns and conflicts that are keeping you stuck. She’s committed to providing an open and supportive environment to address a range of personal concerns. Collaborative work with Melissa can help you improve relationships, find empowerment, gain new insights and coping skills, lessen symptoms, and deepen your understanding of who you are.
Melissa’s style is genuine, warm and compassionate. She’s been described as creating a safe therapeutic space with positive energy, humor, and non-judgment. Her approach is strengths-based. She operates from a cognitive-behavior (CBT), person-centered, relational therapy orientation in a flexible way that allows for a tailored individualized approach. She previously worked as a group therapy facilitator for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), so she brings these coping skills and tools into sessions as well.
Areas of particular interest include working on anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship concerns. Melissa is honored to learn about and support each client.
