A little bit about me…
I am a non-pathologizing, anti-racist, LQBTQIAP affirming, creative, somatic, narrative, funny {at least I think I am funny} therapist who is motivated by a social justice lens. I am trained in EMDR, Brainspotting and IFS {Internal Family Systems}. My niche areas are trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction and process addiction, burnout/vicarious trauma, intimate partner betrayal/trauma and working with professionals in HPSP.
Stephanie offers years of experience in the field of addiction and mental health. Her background includes, working in inpatient/outpatient treatment centers, facilitating psychoeducational court ordered groups and public speaking events on Wernicke encephalopathy and Korsakoff syndrome.
She uses an integrative approach including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Non-Violent Communication (NVC) and Internal Family Systems. (IFS).
Stephanie received her master’s degree from Saint Mary’s University in counseling psychology. She holds an undergraduate degree in forensic psychology with a specialization in forensics and the law and an undergraduate degree in addiction counseling.
She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). And holds a certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (C-DBT).
