Shawn offers therapeutic services for adults (18+) who are seeking help with anxiety, depression, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, interpersonal relationships, women’s issues and concerns, stress management, life changes, self care, compassion for self and others and emancipation challenges.
Shawn has specialized in adult mental health since 2008. Her therapy style has a supportive, compassionate approach focusing on the client-therapist relationship. Getting to know her clients is a priority, and she appreciates the uniqueness of each individual she meets. She views the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for the healing and change that is possible in everyone.
Shawn provides a validating environment while addressing the development of insight and awareness of self. Shawn introduces and teaches life skills for acceptance, problem solving and change. Shawn uses evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
