Mary has been a practicing psychologist for 23 years. She is compassionate, empathetic, and creates a safe place that facilities healing. She addresses each client as a person with unique circumstances and collaboratively works with them to achieve their goals in therapy. She has training in therapies designed to assist individuals in processing trauma, empower themselves and replace negative sensations with neutral or positives.
Mary believes that building an authentic therapeutic relationship is one of the first steps in moving towards healing. She comes from a trauma informed therapy approach. Mary believes that everyone has the resources and inner strength to heal and overcome adverse experiences.
Mary specializes in working with clients with PTSD and dissociative disorders. She is trained in EMDR, ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), and Brainspotting. She also has several years of experience working with people struggling with eating disorders. She also is trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and incorporates aspects of this into her therapy as well.
Mary creates a safe space for her clients and meets them wherever they are at. She welcomes the opportunity to work with clients and help them in their journey towards healing.
