Julia Fox
She/Her/Hers
Julia is a mind/body intuitive therapist who specializes in working with adults ages 20-40, and those who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Julia is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). Her approach to therapy places a large emphasis on the mind and body connection, as well as the therapeutic relationship. She is a strong believer that the connection between mind and body is essential in coping with mental health concerns. In session, she places a focus on wellness, self-care, physiological symptoms, and somatic presentations of distress. Along with that, she also focuses on mindfulness, and other alternative healing approaches, including yoga. These alternative approaches are also accompanied by evidence-based practices, such as CBT and DBT, and solution-focused methods.
Within the therapy room, Julia believes that a warm, accepting, and non-judgmental space is essential in order for you to feel supported in sharing your story, emotions, and participating in a change process. She wants her work with each client to be interactive, honest, and open.
Julia primarily focuses on seeing individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship and intimacy issues, and self-esteem. She enjoys working with the LGBTQIA+ community, being a part of that community herself, and enjoys working with individuals in non-traditional relationships. She also has experience teaching yoga in an eating disorder setting, and working on trauma-sensitive movement therapies.
