Group Therapy for Individuals

Supportive Communities, Shared Experiences and Collective Growth

Sometimes, the support and understanding of others who have experienced similar challenges can be just what we need to navigate life's difficulties. Group therapy and counseling offers a unique and powerful therapeutic approach that provides a supportive community, shared experiences, and collective growth.

Group therapy brings together individuals who are facing similar challenges or working towards common goals. These groups provide an opportunity to share experiences, exchange support, and learn from others who are going through similar journeys. Within the group setting, you can gain valuable insights, develop new perspectives, and receive feedback from both your peers and the skilled therapist facilitating the group.

At LynLake, we offer specialized group therapy and counseling services designed to address a variety of concerns and provide a supportive environment for personal exploration and growth. Our experienced therapists facilitate a range of groups tailored to different topics and populations, ensuring you can find a group that resonates with your needs and interests.

Come As You Are: Empowering Change with Harm Reduction

Now Seeking Interest
Wednesdays | 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Let’s be honest, making changes in our lives can be overwhelming, disappointing, and daunting. This is a supportive therapy group designed for individuals navigating high-risk behaviors such as addiction, self-injury, disordered eating, impulsivity, and interpersonal conflict. Brianna aims to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where group members can explore their experiences, identify barriers, and develop personalized strategies for making change through the lens of harm reduction. Harm reduction is an approach that focuses on reducing negative outcomes by improving quality of life and building motivation for change. This approach is beneficial no matter which stage of change you are in, even if you aren’t ready to act so, please, come as you are!

This group will be a closed group of up to 10 individuals and will meet in person for a total of 8 sessions. Ages 18+ to ensure legal consent as there will be discussion around various high-risk behaviors, including those that involve illicit substances and/or triggering experiences.

Special Criteria: To ensure everyone’s comfort and safety, participants should not be in an acute crisis requiring immediate intervention, as this group focuses on supportive and therapeutic dialogue rather than crisis management. It is recommended but not required that you have a form of individual support established.

* Group facilitator acknowledges that some topics may evoke strong emotions or memories that may increase mental health symptoms and will make every effort to create a safe space for everyone to express themselves while respecting boundaries and prioritizing individual well-being. *
