Now Accepting New Clients
Victoria believes that every person has the right to lead an adventurous life defined by joy, purpose, and deeply satisfying relationships. She considers therapy successful when feelings of energy and motivation increase, creative visions rise up, and new and exciting possibilities for moving forward make themselves apparent in the client’s life.
With an understanding that achieving psychological and physical well-being is foundational to this process, she offers attachment-focused EMDR, an evidence-based modality for the treatment of complex trauma. EMDR can efficiently target debilitating psychological and physiological symptoms stemming from single traumatic experiences, as well as from chronic dysregulating conditions, such as bullying, marginalization, and neglect. Clients reliably emerge from this process with markedly greater self-esteem, a personalized mental health “toolkit”, and a revised and empowering life narrative.
Additionally, Victoria offers depth-oriented psychotherapy, which is uniquely helpful in identity development, as it focuses on recovering the parts of ourselves that have been suppressed, often entirely out of conscious awareness, due to our need to survive and belong. It is a non-pathologizing framework that conceptualizes our challenges as indications of where we are blocked in our natural process of becoming whole.
Victoria is thrilled to work with individuals from all walks of life seeking a more authentic and expansive way of living. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, she finds it particularly meaningful to work with individuals working through matters related to their gender and/or sexual identity. She is also Poly/ENM-affirming and competent, as well as sex-positive.
Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, reading, wandering in nature, art/craft nights, and watching notoriously terrible movies with her friends (recommendations welcome!). If you have any questions about her, her process, or therapy in general, please don’t hesitate to reach out. She would be more than happy to speak with you.
Victoria is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is working under the supervision of Amber Schneider, LICSW, while she pursues clinical licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor.
