Carina aims to create a warm, affirming, and nurturing space where clients of diverse backgrounds feel welcome. She is focused on helping clients develop self-compassion and self-awareness. She prioritizes identifying and making strides towards each client’s version of a meaningful life.
Carina is currently accepting adult (18+) clients. She works with issues such as anxiety, depression, chronic stress, substance use, and life transitions. She also enjoys supporting individuals struggling with loneliness and isolation, and aiding them in experiencing and finding connection. As an AAPI community member, Carina is passionate about Asian American mental health and acculturation challenges.
Carina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Swarthmore College and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Education from the University of Minnesota. She is currently practicing under the supervision of Tom Hegblom, Ph.D., LPCC, LADC, and is on track to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
