You might be here because something in your life is asking for attention — and therapy can be a powerful place to listen. Ashley often works with individuals when anxiety, past hurt, or long-standing habits begin to consume too much of that attention. She offers a warm, affirming space to explore what feels heavy or confusing, build mind-body awareness, and better understand the patterns shaped by life experiences. Her style is conversational, trauma-aware, and lightly humorous because she believes therapy shouldn’t feel like a performance review. Ashley’s work often focuses on trauma, anxiety, and substance use recovery, blending directed insight with practical, sustainable strategies. Together with clients, she helps slow things down, make sense of what’s been hard, and move toward choices that feel more aligned with who they are.
Ashley is an independently licensed clinical counselor with a Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services and a Graduate Certificate in Addiction Studies from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Her experience spans intensive outpatient programs for substance use, group homes supporting individuals with daily living needs, and adolescent residential treatment. Seeing healing at many stages has shaped her flexible, grounded approach to care. Ashley tailors strategies to each client’s goals and offers clear, compassionate feedback to help clients better understand their patterns and strengthen the skills that support meaningful change.
Ashley also believes healing often happens in deeply human moments — shared laughter, eye-rolls at life’s timing, and the small wins that remind people they’re continuing to try. Outside the therapy room, she can usually be found overwatering her modest garden, experimenting with recipes that may or may not work out, or overpacking for travel. These parts of her life help keep her grounded and curious — the same energy she brings into her work with clients.
