Matt Bander

He/Him/His

A good therapeutic fit should feel like a skipping rock with a notch for your finger. Matt works with couples experiencing intimacy issues, recovering from infidelity, navigating patterns of conflict, or who just aren’t communicating like they want to. He also specializes in working with clients who have experienced trauma and want to explore how that impacts their lives as adults, and working with men ages 20–35, navigating themes like finding purpose and relational hardship. Matt is a neurodivergent person, and he brings competence and expertise in navigating autism and ADHD.

He brings a casual, conversational, and intentional approach to his work. He uses Internal Family Systems as an approach to navigating trauma and interpersonal issues. He also uses somatic experiencing techniques to help clients find connection with their bodies and process through past traumas.

You don’t have to get an A in therapy, nor do you even have to know what’s wrong. If you want change, you are in the right place.

Matt is working under the supervision of Christina Jobelius, LMFT, while pursuing his degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Matt is available at the Lakeside Center and via telehealth. Matt uses He/Him pronouns.
