None of us function in total isolation from other people or systems. No matter if you are an individual or within a relationship of any kind, Marriage and Family Therapy is all about that systemic view of you – taking all parts of your life, your history, your self into consideration while exploring what you are dealing with. Jackie believes that looking at issues and challenges systemically and contextually can uncover the deeper issues causing disruptions above the surface. Jackie utilizes experiential and narrative methods to develop insight into these emotions residing deep within your core self, restory and reframe challenges within a new context, and find new ways of experiencing emotion in an effort to release and move forward.
Jackie believes that the most important part of a therapeutic relationship is just that – the relationship. Her ultimate goal is to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your strengths, challenges, and story. She embraces humor, openness, and honesty in the therapeutic relationship.
Jackie works with adult clients as individuals, those in an intimate relationship with each other, and families. She chose the path of Marriage and Family Therapy because of the emphasis on using a systemic lens to examine problems and solutions.
Jackie is working under the licensed supervision of Lorie Crandall, MA, LMFT while she pursues clinical licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
