She/Her/Hers
Angela has a Master’s Degree in Integrated Behavioral Health from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) and licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC). She has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years with a wide range of client populations and in various treatment settings. She believes that providing a safe, trauma-informed, and non-judgemental space for clients is of utmost importance to developing a strong therapeutic alliance. She has experience in working with individuals to struggle with substance use disorders, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, thought disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, anger, and life transitions.
Angela is a firm believer that people are more than their diagnoses. She prefers to focus on clients’ strengths and what is “right” with them versus what is “wrong.” She believes that everyone is capable of positive change and is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals, especially when they did not previously think they were capable of doing so. Angela uses a holistic approach to therapy and incorporates aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and psychoeduation.
