Abbie Scott
She/Her/Hers
Abbie (she/her/hers) is an anti-diet Registered Dietitian with almost a decade of experience in the nutrition field. Born and raised in Iowa, she graduated from Iowa State University in 2012, and became credentialed as an RD in 2013. Prior to moving “up north,” Abbie worked in a variety of settings, including long-term care, community/school nutrition, and retail grocery stores. In 2017, Abbie and her family moved to Minnesota where she has since gained experience working in a pediatric feeding clinic, as well as multiple levels of care at an eating disorder treatment center.
Abbie is inspired by each and every client she meets, and is grateful for the ability to walk alongside them as they heal their relationships to food and body image. While dietitians are often labeled as “nutrition experts,” Abbie wholeheartedly believes each and every one of her clients is the expert of their own body. During sessions and groups, she blends her unique counseling skills, motivational interviewing, and anti-diet lens with nutrition therapy. Abbie aligns with the Health at Every Size principles, and believes weight-inclusive care should be accessible to people of all ages, stages of recovery, and diagnoses.
As of March 2022, Abbie will be a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and is excited to continue bringing mindfulness tools into sessions to help clients along their healing journeys.
